I have been developing Flex applications since the beginning of 2005 with Flex 1.5, and with Flex 2.0 since it's initial BETA. I am very excited about the kinds of applications that Flex allows us developers to create. With the built-in ability to use drag and drop of items and adding effects, along with the advanced ability to create custom components that build upon other components adds so much flexibility. My current pride and joy that I like to show off is the application found at: http://www.micoach.com. I was responsible for quite a bit of the user interface piece of the application that is used for creating and maintaining the user's runs, which includes the whole setup for creating a micoach run, the calendar and various other layout features. This application shows off the advanced capabilities of Flex. Most of the components used are custom components. Due to the demands of Adidas, most of the canned components were unusable for this application. |
